This is the East Gate, where Elwood always waits for Jake to come out of in the Blues Brothers films.

Shot with a Zenit 12XP, can't remember anything else..

I really like the silhouette effect and lenses flair (if that's the word) used here.

I think there's to much black on the bottom, but other then that I think it's just about perfect.

Thanks, for the comment and the fav too!

I agree, there is too much black at the bottom. It could do with some cropping.. I wasn't really expecting it to come out like that, I thought more light was reflecting on the bottom, but this was shot with an old Zenit (Soviet-made) film camera without a light-meter.. But I still liked the top half a lot so I posted the pic as it was.

I LOVE the Blues Brothers, if you remember!
There used to be a kind of theatre-musical-something in Dortmund based on the movie which I went to with my boyfriend last year by about this time. Was really great interpreted and played out with ass-kicking good musicians. :)

Then you'll absolutely love a visit to Chicago.. As soon as I landed I was picked up by someone who's quite knowledgeable about the films and he took me for a Blues Brothers tour of Chicago.. Went to the hotel that Jake's girlfriend blew up, watched the trains going back and forth outside, went to the street where the Illinois Nazis were chasing them together with the cops, went to the place where they used to have this street market where John Lee Hooker was playing and many many more.. Then played a gig in Rock Island where Elwood gets his cars from if I'm not mistaken and of course I insisted on visiting Joliet.. :)
